GRADING

We use RECORD COLLECTOR grading standards , with the addition of +/- to be as precise as possible....so,

  • Mint : The only time this is used is if the LP is still sealed (S/S) . Mint- is used for albums that are in pristine condition but are not sealed.
     

  • Excellent : The record shows some signs of being played , but there is very little lessening of sound quality . The cover might have slight wear/creasing.
     

  • Very Good : The record has obviously been played many times , but displays no major deterioration in sound quality , despite noticeable marks & light scratches. Normal wear & tear on the cover but without major defects.      
     

  • Good : Vinyl will only be put on sale in this condition if it is of exceptional interest or rarity;  & all defects will be noted.

    Cover graded 1st/LP 2nd.

 

RARITY

Call them luminaries, sages, or just stoned old acid heads; but the authors of the following vinyl reference guides have a pretty good idea of what constitutes a rare record. So for your entertainment, we thought we should quote them; where applicable, (hope they don't want royalties!).
